Carolyn Kim is a Korean American multidisciplinary graphic designer based in the SF Bay Area who focuses on building memorable experiences no matter the medium, from branding to visual interfaces. She grew up in San Jose and graduated from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco with a BFA Graphic Design.
Currently, she's a GenAI Annotations Visual Arts Specialist at Meta, working on improving EMU models through art direction. Previously, she worked with brand & marketing agency Nesscessity as a Art Direction/Graphic Design Intern and Freelance Designer, designing social media content for their brand clients. Since 2023, she has been working with Children’s Creativity Museum as a graphic designer for about a year in total through contracts, working on an experience refresh, a new wayfinding system, and marketing collateral for educational and event experiences.
Cultivating artistic abilities since childhood and expanding to graphic design and UX/UI, she enjoys all things creative and she has developed a keen attention to detail while also being able to maintain a holistic view of the overall system. No matter where, you can probably spot her indulging in boba or matcha as a barista, capturing moments through photos as she explores the world, or learning electric guitar.
